2026 World Cup in Friendly - Great match for the Grenadiers against Iceland [1-1] (Video)

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, as part of their major preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup (for both teams), which will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, our Grenadiers (83rd in the world, 1281.57 points) faced Iceland (74th in the world, 1344.72 points), also qualified for the World Cup, in an international friendly match at BMO Field in Toronto. A match that ended in a 1-1 draw.

Starting XI : To face Iceland, French coach Sébastien Migné changed his starting eleven compared to the one against Tunisia. For this final international friendly, he brought on #8 Martin Expérience: AS Nancy-Lorraine (France), #9 Duckens Nazon: Esteghlal FC (Iran), #11 Don Deedson: FC Dallas (USA), and #18 Wilson Isidor: Sunderland AFC (England). The formation was 4-3-3, while Iceland opted for a 4-4-2.
